When not leading his team of staff, Ryan's down-to-earth and direct approach to one-on-one coaching is to support clients in achieving quick results through actionable feedback and accountability. Ryan's clients often refer to him as radically transparent and results-driven. Ryan is a Nationally Certified Online Profile Expert (NCOPE), a Nationally Certified Resume Writer (NCRW), and received his Master's Degree in Education from Teachers College at Columbia University. Ryan’s life path is not a traditional one. As a product of failing education systems, he dropped out of high school in Chicago, IL and moved into the workforce, quickly becoming a successful project manager and operations professional. After years of proven success in operational process improvement and systems design, Ryan returned to school to obtain his GED (High School Diploma Equivalency). He immediately enrolled in college, working a full-time job and serving as a full-time student. During his time in undergrad, he was awarded the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate and Graduate full ride scholarship which enabled him to pursue postsecondary studies. Ryan continued to work throughout both of his degree attainments. Ryan’s career has included serving in multiple capacities intersecting the nonprofit and for-profit space with an emphasis on leadership, operations, and career education. His prior experience includes serving as a Project Manager, Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Career and Technical Education, Higher Education Professor, and Program Manager. Ryan’s professional work now focuses on the intersection of highly productive organizations and individuals, including supporting career counseling and leadership coaching for mid-to-senior level professionals and change management initiatives in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Ryan has a decade of experience serving in career development capacities and built RP Stivers Consulting, LLC from a side project in 2016 to the team it is today. In addition to his professional experience, Ryan is a passionate social justice and educational equity advocate within his community. Ryan serves on numerous nonprofit boards and volunteers his time to activities that promote youth and community development.
